Brooke and Julian's Wedding in Season 8 of 'One Tree Hill'

When I think about great weddings from television shows, Brooke Davis and Julian Baker comes to mind. This couple was married during season 8 of 'One Tree Hill.' Brooke had always dreamed of her wedding day. She knew exactly what she wanted right down to every little detail. At times, she did not think it would work out for her, but in the end she got her dream wedding.

For me a wedding is all about the love involved. I didn't need a huge wedding like Brooke, but at the same time every girl loves to feel like a princess. For just that one day it is great for everything to revolve around you. I love the idea of having someone to do my makeup and hair making me look amazing.

One of my favorite parts of the episode 'The Other Half of Me' where they are married was their vows. Brooke and Julian wrote their own vows to each other and poured their heart out on them.

'One Tree Hill' returns to the CW on Wednesday January 11, 2012. Will you be watching?

Missed the RSVP to the wedding? Here's your special invitation with Season 8 of the One Tree Hill http://bit.ly/w2DhRu! You can catch up on season 8 online with Ultraviolet.

I have been hired by Warner Bros. WBWord division to promote One Tree Hill Season Eight on DVD.

'Pretty Little Liars' Returns on January 2, 2012

'Pretty Little Liars' is about to return to ABC Family and fans can't wait for the show to be back. The winter premier will be on January 2, 2012 at 7:00 pm CST.

I am interested to hear what you think will happen next season. I honestly feel like they will keep the mystery of "A" going. I don't think that they are ready to let in on the secret, because this will make them have a new mystery that they have to add to the show. "A" is too good of a mystery to let out yet. Fans will probably get a really good clue on who it is though by the cliffhanger at the end.

I am pretty sure Dr. Sullivan is gone for good. I am betting that the envelope had something it to make the Dr. leave and never come back again.

What Happened to Seed.com?

I used to write for a company called Seed.com. I had not been to their site in awhile, but today I thought I would see if they had any new assignments. The pay was really good if you could find one. It now says that they are changing things up and to email them if you are interested in being on their new site. Here is the email address: seed2signup@seed.com. I sent in an email, but have not heard back yet. Has anyone heard what happened to Seed.com?

'One Tree Hill' Season 8 Out on DVD!

I am a huge fan of 'One Tree Hill.' This is honestly one of my favorite shows on the CW. With season 9 about to start, I keep thinking about some of my favorite shows from season 8 of the show. On season 8 episode 15, you get a lot of great love stories. This one is called 'Valentine's Day is Over.'

My favorite story from this one is with Clay and Quinn. He sets up an amazing dinner with a surprise singer for her. Everything is perfect in this one except for as a fan of love I was expecting a proposal from him at the end. Hopefully he doesn't let us down in the final season.

In Tree Hill, NC, there is never a dull moment. Hope, heartbreak and a hurricane - all in one season! One Tree Hill's Season 8 is packed with drama and ready for pre-order (http://bit.ly/w2DhRu)!

You can even watch it on Ultraviolet on Flixster!

'Pretty Little Liars' - Who do you think is 'A'?

'Pretty Little Liars' is set to return to ABC Family on January 2, 2012 at 7:00 pm CST and all that fans want to know who is 'A'? This has been the question ever since the show started airing. Will we finally get some answers?

Some fans actually think that 'A' is more than one person that is messing with the girls. It sounds like someone was working with Ian before he was pushed off the bell tower. I think he is involved, but someone else is as well. Do you think I am right?

Allison was not a nice girl anyway! As fans know, she had a mean streak in her and even tricked her friends into thinking that she was being killed on the Halloween episode. This season should be interesting!

'Pretty Little Liars' is Returning!

Fans of 'Pretty Little Liars' should be excited this show is coming back soon! Make sure that you catch the premier on January 2, 2012 at 7:00 pm CST on ABC Family!

One of my favorite episodes from last season was the winter finale. This was Season 2 Episode 12 and it was called 'Over My Dead Body.' This one left fans begging for more!

On this episode, we found out that Jason was not the one who called Ali for sure. They were really starting to think that the girls were involved and the police were looking into it big time!

A sends the girls some really creepy dolls that has them scared again! Whoever A is, she/he has a great way of scaring the girls! The best line from the show is from Allison when she says 'Two can only keep a secret if one is dead.'

Working for Sponsored Tweets

Sponsored Tweets is a company that lets you get paid to tweet for them. Big celebrities like the Kardashians even work with them. Of course, I don't get $1000 per tweet like they do, but it is still kind of fun.

You simply cut/paste tweets on their site and they send them out for you. Some pay so much per tweet and some pay per click. I have made $10.50 with their site. I have never cashed out because the limit used to be $50. They have now made the change where you can cash out under $50 and just pay a $2 fee so I might try it soon. I do know others who have been paid.

Do any of you work for them and if so what do you think?

If you decide to sign up, they do pay for referrals. You can sign up at this link. Thanks!

Update: I just cashed out and I got my money in less than 1 minute!!

Social Spark Pays to Blog

I have been using Social Spark for awhile, but have only done a few blogs for them. They pay you to blog about something they want to promote. I had made $18.50 and it had been sitting there because you could not cash out until $50.

I am happy to say that they changed this! You can now cash out anytime, but if it is under $50 you have a $2 service fee. They pay so well for blogs that this fee is worth it! I just did a blog that took me about 10 minutes and will pay me $15. That is fast and easy money! You just have to be chosen by them to do a blog. I would say it is worth checking out!

I also want to say that I cashed out today and I got my money in less than 1 minute straight to my paypal account.

You can also make a commission on people you refer, but you have to refer 5 people before it starts. If you do sign up, please use my link.

A Blessing of my Job

This morning we woke up to get ready for school. My 8 year old daughter had a sore throat and just couldn't go at all. I am blessed that I have a job where I can stay home with her and take care of her. I was till able to work while she was being lazy, but I was here when she needed medicine or anything else. I am blessed to be home with my baby today without even needing to call in to work.

Difficulties of my Job

I love almost everything about working from home. Right now I am listening to the rain. With another job, I could be out working in it. I am in my comfy pajama pants and not an uncomfortable dress. I could not be happier.

Now there are some difficulties with this job too. If I don't work, I don't make money. Yes I do have residuals, but I can't just play on the internet or goof off and still get my hourly wage like some people do at work. I don't get sick days or emergency days.

Another thing that is hard about this job sometimes is not having co-workers. It is really hard to deal with people at work, but sometimes you can feel so alone at home. Your friends do not understand your work or why you are always busy.

I have to say I am blessed to have found an amazing friend across the country who does the same work I do. If it was not for her somedays, I would lose my mind. I can talk to her about my job, the stress of it, and the celebrities and she understands it all. You know who you are and please know that I am thankful for you every single day. Now can we just win the lottery so we can meet each other? :)

Check out 'V' Season 2 on DVD

As you guys know, 'V' Season 2 is now available on DVD. This was a great season of this show. You can buy it on DVD or Blu-ray.

The 9th episode of this season is one of the best. This is the one where Anna is enjoying trying to control a human just like she does with the visitors. If we had aliens show up here, would you trust them at all? Would it be hard for you to give them a fair chance or would you be so interested that you would believe them?

Check out 'V' Season 2 on DVD

'V' Season 2 is finally out to purchase on DVD and Blu-ray both! This show is one that fans have missed ever since they took it off television.

Season 2 is great! This is the one where Hobbes shows his true colors. He is calling out Ryan for being a traitor on this season. The truth is that Hobbes is worse than him really if you look at the facts. He caused Joe to die, slept with Erica, and even killed humans. Have you ever had to deal with someone telling you are wrong all the time even though they aren't perfect either? It can sure be annoying!

The Things that People Search for Online

As a writer, I am quickly learning the things that people look for online. It is shocking to me what some of the popular topics are honestly. If it is strange or weird people love it! As an example, one of my best articles on Examiner is about a woman who ate her husband's ashes after he died. The article is titled 'My Strange Addiction' Woman Can't Stop Eating Dead Husband's Ashes. You can read it here. People must just love shock factor!

Another thing that surprises me is how much people want to follow people from reality shows long after the show is over. People care about Blake Julian and Holly Durst from "Bachelor Pad 2" so much! This recent article is called 'Holly Durst Starts Using Fiance as New Dentist.' You can read it here.  Why on earth do people care so much who cleans her teeth? They really do care though!

Do you have any things you write on that you are surprised do so well? Are you shocked at what interests people sometimes?

Here is another example of something everyone loves to read about right now. Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore Back Together and Camping

How I Found my First Work at Home Jobs

I knew I wanted to work at home the second I started having children, but everything seemed like a scam. It was really hard for me to find a work at home job that was legit. Here are a few things to remember when looking for a job.

  • Never pay someone to work for them. If they ask you for money, it probably isn't legit.
  • If you don't find something at first, keep looking. There are a ton of opportunities out there.
  • Don't be afraid to try something new! I never thought I could make a living as writer and look at me now.
  • Don't put all of your eggs in one basket. In other words, it is not a good idea to only work one place. You never know when a place might close so get a few different jobs just in case.
One thing that helped me out is a forum called Work Place Like Home. It is amazing! You will find other men and women looking to work at home. They will be honest with you about their experiences and can help you in your journey.

Kellie Pickler to be on '90210'

If you know me at all, you will realize that I am a huge fan of country music and reality TV. To me Kellie Pickler is the best of these two worlds put together. I love her and I am excited to see her in a role on the hit show '90210.' This is a show that I have watched from the start so adding Kellie for a guest spot makes me really happy! If you want to see a sneak peek of her on the show, you can check it out here.

'V' Season Two Coming out On DVD

'V' Season Two is coming on DVD and fans of the show could not be more excited! I know I can't wait to enjoy this show again!

Season 2 is the one where we see Anna trying to fool everyone. She will end up putting her daughter into prison and don't forget that she takes the life of her own mother! She is crazy, but everyone can not see that. She just pulls the wool right over their eyes. Do you think she is one of the best villain's of all time? If not, who do you think is in your eyes?

You can pick them here on DVD or Blu-ray.

Garage Sale - One Tired Momma!

This weekend we had a garage sale. It was well worth it! I got rid of a ton of stuff in my house and also made a few hundred dollars. The only problem with it is that now I am one tired momma! I am just exhausted and now I still need to get some work done. I am glad we had a successful weekend though! If you need extra cash, it is always a good idea to clean out your house and have a garage sale! I should have taken pictures of all the stuff we got rid of :)

Taking a Day Off as a Freelance Writer

I have a huge problem with taking days off as a freelance writer. Here I am at my mom's house and I should not be working, but my mind is wandering off all the things that I should write about and that need to be done. I am going to take the afternoon off and spend it with my kiddos forgetting about work as much as possible.

Since I work on residual earnings for the most part, I will still make money today. I will make less than if I worked, but it will still be a good day! I need to remind myself sometimes of the blessings of this job.

Do you have problems making yourself take a day off? I think it is good for the soul and something we all should force ourselves to do sometimes. (Even though I will admit that you will catch me working late tonight)

Mat Kearney Young Love CD Review

Recently I was sent the Mat Kearney CD called 'Young Love' to review. I did not know anything about Mat, but was willing to give it a try.

When I put the CD in, the first song that plays is called 'Hey Mama.' This song is super catchy! I had it stuck in my head right away.

Mat has a great voice and had my 3 year old dancing by my chair while listening to him. This CD will be a great addition to my workout music.

I sat here and listened to the entire CD two times before turning it off! I could not get it added to my iPhone fast enough! It was a fun rock/pop CD that I enjoyed every single song on and can't wait to listen to again!

Note: One2One Network sent me a free copy of this album for my review.

I have started trying to lose weight and this is a hard thing to do while you are working from home. Don't you just want to snack at your desk all day or grab a pop from the fridge? Isn't it hard to make yourself leave the house when you don't really have to do it?

I am working hard on this and going to gym every day plus counting calories. It takes motivation more than other people realize when you are a work at home mom. I will win this battle and keep fighting hard! Any advice or support is greatly appreciated :)

Factoidz Review

I have been writing for Factoidz off and on for a year. I have to say this is not a favorite site of mine. They give you a bonus for each article you write, but it is based on nothing really. It can be a few cents or several dollars and you never know which it will be. You get paid residuals on your articles though which is nice. They do now have a few articles you can pick up but nothing that interests me.

The customer support with this company is not good at all. They never respond to emails and they are not helpful at all in this way.

Factoidz does pay on the 1st of the month always no matter how much they owe you. I have never had a problem getting paid by them which is great, but I do not recommend this site. I am pretty much done with them.

Movie Mom and New Examiner Title!

I was recently accepted as the Movie Mom for a local radio station. I will be taking my kids to see a movie once a week. I will then go on the radio and review the movie telling them my opinions on it. I wanted to take full advantage of the situation so I spoke to my boss at Examiner. I have now been accepted as the Oklahoma City Family Movie Examiner. I will be able to write review of the movies on there. I am really excited about this new opportunity! You can check out my new Examiner page here.

Summer Fun!

I love having the kids home all summer, but it sure does make it hard to work. Tonight I am writing this quick blog as we play hide and go seek. I am the person counting so I had to find something to do :) If anyone has future ideas they want me to blog in, please let me know! I plan to get better about keeping up once school is back in session, but for now I will be here when I can find the time :)

Behind on Coupon Sorting

I have let myself get behind on coupon sorting. In turn, we have been eating out more than we need to because I haven't been excited about going to the grocery store. I have to quit doing this to myself! I watch TV and there is no reason I can't sort my coupons while I do it. I love saving money sometimes I just need a kick in the butt to do it.

"Here, Home, Hope" by Kaira Rouda Book Review

Recently I received a copy of "Here, Home, Hope" by Kaira Rouda. When I got the book, I was not sure what to expect, but I fell in love the second I started reading it.

This book is all about a stay at home mom Kelly who finds her own life while her children are gone to summer camp. She realizes that she is not happy with herself and does something to change it. Kelly starts out by seeing a therapist, but the big thing that changes in her life is when she starts her own business.

Kelly realizes that she needs self worth and that she can make money of her own. She is proud of her new business and proud of herself. It makes her a better person.

We also see her friends problems and how she helps them through it all. One friend is going through a divorce, another loses a loved one, and she even helps a friends teenage daughter battle an eating disorder.

This book was inspirational. It reminded me how we all need to not get lost in our children and make sure we have something we are proud of that is not about them. I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a great book this summer.

Disclaimer: I received a free copy of this book from One2OneNetwork to write this review.

Hot Days!

Wow it is only June and it hit 105 today! I am so glad that I get to stay inside and work. Of course the kids want to go out and play, but I don't have to be in the heat unless I choose to which is one reason I love working at home! I am ready for winter. :)

Youdata Paid to Click

Youdata is a fun paid to click program. They don't always have a ton of ads, but they don't send you emails either. You simply log in when you have time and see if they have any available. If they do, you click them and it is that simple. They also pay for referrals. You can earn up to $1 per person you refer. It is something fun to do every once in awhile and nice extra money in my paypal account.

'American Idol' finale

I am so happy about who made it to the finals on 'American Idol.' As a country music fan, I could not ask for two better people there out of this year's contestants. I am cheering for Lauren, but would happy for Scotty as well. I think they both have a career now!

Quicktate Transcription

If you are looking to work from home, but don't really think that writing is for you another idea to try is Quicktate. This is a work at home job that I have had for awhile, but just don't do very often because I love to write.

You simply log into their system and transcribe voice mails. I am pretty sure they go to the subscriber as a text message. It is easy work. You won't get rich, but it is a good way to make some extra money.

Once you have been doing this for awhile, they also have a company that does more in depth transcription you can get on with as well. I do not work for them, but it is called iDictate.

Sign up for Quicktate here.

Saving Money When Eating Out with Coupons

Money is tight for all of us lately. We can't help but still eat out sometimes. I have found a great way to save a bit if you plan to eat out at a nice restaurant. Go to the companies website and check for coupons. If they have any, print them out. If they don't show any coupons, sign up for their email list. Almost every single place will send you a coupon and they are usually for a free appetizer. You can get an appetizer for free or you can actually eat the appetizer as your meal.

We recently ate at Joe's Crab Shack. We knew it would cost a lot, but I was able to print out a coupon for a free appetizer so we saved about $8 on the meal. A few other places I have done this is Applebee's, Chili's, and Texas Road House. If you are making plans to eat out, check the website and see if you can save money on your trip.

Another great tip is to save the El Chico's coupons out of the paper. They come about once a month in the coupon inserts. You can use the buy one Enchilada dinner get one free to eat out for two adults for less than $10. Great deal!

New Playtex Sport Wipes from Crowdtap

Crowdtap sent me a sample of Playtex Sport Wipes to try out. These are awesome! You simply wipe your body off instead of showering. Obviously, I will only use them when I can't shower. They are great for after a soccer game or before you run somewhere and have been working outside. They have a light scent which I love since I have allergies and it did not bother me at all. These are great!

Crowdtap is a great way to earn a bit of money and also get free samples. Try it out by going here.

Making Money from Referrrals

I have never been someone who tried to push referrals or tried to make money that way. I only want people to sign up for things because they are good for them and they can profit off of it. With finding great writing opportunities, I have actually ended up making a lot of money off of referrals lately. If you love somewhere you work, share your experience. Don't be afraid to ask people to use you as a referral if they decide to sign up. Just by doing this, I have made $300 on Examiner in referrals the last few months. If you are interested in writing there, please sign up under me. Here is my referral link. Part of referring someone to a site is helping them out. I don't just refer people and then run away. Once I refer them, I feel I should help them. I will answer any questions and also subscribe to all of their content. It is a great way to make extra money and new friends!

"Extreme Couponing" Interviews and Savings

The show "Extreme Couponing" has become very popular on TLC. With this show doing so well, I contacted The Krazy Coupon Lady on her website and asked for an interview. She was sweet enough to talk to me! Joanie Demer was awesome. I posted 2 interviews with her on Examiner and then another article explaining about a fraud case that is going on in the "Extreme Couponing" world right now. I wanted to share them with you.

I also wanted to share that since talking to Joanie I went to Walgreens today on a coupon shopping spree. I got 4 Marshmallow/Chocolate Peeps, 3 rolls of Scotch Tape, and 1 pouch of Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough for a total of 9 cents! It can be done!

My Computer is Back!

Have you missed me? Between kidney stones and computer problems I have not been able to blog as much as I would like to lately. My computer was in the shop to replace the video card. I have missed it so much! I was using the laptop, but it was just not the same. I am so glad to have it back and you will be hearing more from me!

On April 22, I will be getting my kidney stones broken up again. Hopefully this will do the trick and I will be back to normal once again.

Yanni "Truth of Touch" CD Review

Recently I received an album by Yanni called "Truth of Touch" to review for my blog. This album is not my normal kind of music. It is an all instrumental CD. It has 15 songs on it.

When I first put this album in, I did not think I would be interested in it. I sat here listening to it while I was doing some work online. I really enjoyed it. It was a very relaxing CD that was great to listen to in the background while I did work. I honestly will be listening to this more in the future.

It made me think of great music to relax while listening to it. It would be great for taking a soak in the bathtub or some background nice while reading a book.

Yanni is currently on tour if you are interested in his music. You can check out his tour dates here.

I received a free CD from One2One Network for this review and entries into a contest.

How I Find Books to Review

I have been asked by a couple of people who I review books for and the answer is simple. It is not for any particular site. I contact authors and offer to review their book. I send them a link to my Associated Content page. This is where I will post the review for them.

I have received four books so far to review. One of them came to me and the other three I asked if they would be interested. They were authors who are not well known, but write amazing books. I found them randomly by seeing a person mention the book on facebook. I emailed them and offered to review the book. I did not ask for a free book, but they all offered to send me one.

I have contacted a few well known authors with no response. I am sure they have their own people who do this for them or know more people. So this is how I have received books to review. Try it yourself.

My Favorite Thing About Easter

As Easter is getting closer, I start thinking about past memories and what I enjoy so much about this holiday. The thing that is best for me happens on the Saturday before Easter in our area.

I always take my daughters to an Easter Egg Hunt. It is in the town where I grew up. This is only 30 minutes away, but I don't make it there as often as I should honestly. It is a huge hunt that is done all by donation.

An amazing mother's club in town has kept it going. They get eggs and fill them full of candy. They also put dollar coins, two dollar bills, and other special items into some of the eggs. They put them out different places such as church lawns. They put a lot of effort into making sure this happens every single year. They go around getting donations and even stuff the eggs themselves.

The kids are divided up into different age groups. When it is time to start, they get to run around and grab as many eggs as they can get into their baskets. I love watching the different age groups and how they are scared or just go for it. My youngest daughter was all over it last year at the age of almost 2, but this year I think she might be a little shyer about it all. My 7 year old just goes like crazy. I hope she doesn't think she is too old for it too soon.

Since I can't be two places at once, my dad always takes my older daughter to her area now since I used to go with her when she was little. I miss seeing her do it, but she loves getting papa all to herself and having this time with him.

One of the best parts of it, is watching them open up all of their eggs when they are done. They go through them all and see what prizes they picked up. We can't even go home before we do it. We have to make a stop at grandma's to check out everything.

This is something I never miss doing with my children. They have a blast at this egg hunt every year and we get to see family which is a bonus. It is a tradition I plan to keep up until they are old enough they won't let me anymore.

Don't Put All Your Eggs in One Basket

Recently someone I know lost one of their writing jobs. They were freaked out and unsure how they would be able to pay bills. This reminds me to never put all of your eggs in one basket.

What this means is to work for more than one place. If a new place is hiring, it does not hurt to apply. It is great to have options available for many reasons.

One thing is if you ever lose a job then you won't be scared. You will know that you have other options available and work to do. Yes it might take a second to regroup, but you can still pay your bills.

It is also really nice to have money coming in all the time. Different places pay at different times. Don't you love the idea of getting money every week instead of just once a month? Working different places can help you to make sure this happens.

Work dries up sometimes. You will not be able to find good titles for yourself with certain companies. Instead of just taking time off work you can go to another place and find jobs for yourself.

Find the place that you can make the most money in the shortest amount of time and work there the most. Keep your other places and work there enough to not lose the job. You will thank yourself for it later.

My Journey to Becoming a Freelance Writer

Recently I posted links to a couple of articles that I wrote about starting at home as a writer. I want to share a bit of my experience with you.

I have been a stay at home mom for 6 years now. I have tried and tried to find ways to make an income at home. I tried Cha Cha, pay to click sites, and searched for legit ways to make money at home.

One day I finally stumbled upon eHow. I thought wow do people really make this kind of money writing. I would love to do that and I know I could. I started out writing for eHow and with big dreams.

Shortly after I started there, they shut down the freelance program and changed it where you have to be through Demand Studios to write for them. I did not feel comfortable doing this so I moved on, but I still make about $15/month from articles I wrote there for doing zero work. It is all residual money.

Next I started with Textbroker. They are an amazing company to start out with. I would be so excited if I could make $10/day. Now my husband thinks that is so funny because $10/day now is more than I make if I take the day off. I get that much each day and more on residuals.

I have since branched out into writing for several different places. We all have to work and find what is best for us. I work my butt off somedays and others I don't work at all. When asked if you can make a living at this, yes you can! Can you make enough money to pay your bills? Yes! I know single moms who support themselves and their child doing this every day. I could make that much money if I dedicated the time to it that they do. I will say that I am making more money than I ever thought was possible.

If writing is what you want to do, push yourself. Realize that you will get better with time and you will learn what works for you. Don't be afraid to try things out. Most importantly remember that it is hard work. The money does not just fall in your lap, but if you work at it you can make good money at it.

I am just a normal stay at home mom in a small town in Oklahoma. You can do this, but you have to believe in yourself and be willing to put the work into this job that you would any other job.

Amazon Associate Program Tools: A Guest Blog

You may be aware of Amazon’s Associate Program but do you know how to implement it? Amazon offers several different tools to help you. You will want to test each tool on your site to see which performs best.

1. Product Banner Widget – A product banner widget is in essence a photo box of a product listing its details, price, and a buy button.

2. Text Linking – Amazon provides html for text linking that you can use for keyword linking, text ads, or deep linking.

3. Product Cloud Widget – This widget provides a “cloud” or grouping of keywords that relates to the content on your site. This ad looks similar to tag clouds.

4. Search Widget – The search widget allows you to place an Amazon search box on your site. This allows readers to search for any product on Amazon directly from your site.

5. Product Preview Widget – The product preview widget is like the product banner widget only it pops up when a user hovers their mouse over a selected keyword.

6. Deals Widget – The deal widget is a real time update ad box that rotates between lighting deals, deal of the day, and best deals.

Making Money by Tweeting

I have a twitter account that I use to promote my articles. I think it does help to get views. One thing I have started doing with it as well is working for SponsoredTweets.

You can get paid for tweeting two different ways on this site. Some tweets will pay you a set amount just for doing it. This is based on how many followers you have and what they think your page is worth. Some tweets will pay you a set amount for every person that clicks on them.

The only thing I don't like about this site is that payout is $50. You can get paid before that, but it charges you $2 if you cash out early. I really like it so far and several celebrities use it as well.

I am interested in finding out about other companies that pay you to tweet as well. If you sign up, please do it through the link above because they also pay 10% for referrals. Thanks!

Readbud Scam

I have seen many people try out a site called Readbud to earn money at home. I just want to let you all know that it is a scam and to stay away. I had actually forgotten about this site until I saw a friend post it on Twitter recently.

This site will have you read over articles and give them a rating. It is very time consuming. They say you get payout at $50. I only know one person who ever made it to payout and they did not get paid.

The rest of us that tried it made it to about $40 and then they quit giving us work. We could not log into the site at all and when we did get in there was no work available.

Do not waste your time on Readbud at all. It is a scam and there are legit ways to make money at home. Just a warning :-)

Money Potential with Book Reviews

Recently I was asked how much money I make by reviewing books. I have done my book reviews on Associated Content if anyone else has used another place please feel free to post how it works as well.

My book reviews don't take long to write at all. Once I read a book that I love, my fingers start to move and the words just flow. I wrote a book review on Kendra Wilkinson's book recently. This review has made me about $3 so far, which does not sound like much, but since Kendra is still popular it gets more views every single day it should be a good Evergreen article for me. I did not get this book free like I did the other ones.

The other book reviews I have done are on books I enjoyed. They do not get as many views. I have made about $1 on each of them. I do still get views on them though so long term they might be worth a little more.

I personally feel like I made about $15 off of the reviews. I got a free book that would cost me at least $10 or more off Amazon. These were books that I wanted to buy and read anyway. I did not read them just to do the review because I would have done it anyway. This to me says that it is worth every minute I put into the review.

K-Mart/Sears Reward Card

When you go into a store, several of them want you to sign up for a rewards card. Sometimes you wonder if it is worth it or not. Well the K-Mart and Sears one is worth it!

You can use this card to earn points at both stores. If you are like me, you might make a big purchase at Sears such as a freezer. This could earn you a lot of points! I also shop at K-Mart on a regular basis with coupons and sales. For every 1,000 points you earn, you will get $1.00 credit. You can easily use this anytime you want when you check out at the store.

One day I bought a lot of stuff so I decided to see how many points I had earned. I ended up getting $14 off of my purchase. That alone made me remember to use this card every time I shop! I had only used it for small purchases and nothing big so it adds up fast.

Once you spend a certain amount, you will be upgraded to VIP and get bonus points every year. You can track your points online or at the bottom of your receipts. Make sure next time you are there you sign up for the card and use it when you shop.

Reviewing Books - My Experience

When it comes to Associated Content, I love that I can write about what I want on there. They do not pay upfront payments for book reviews, but they do pay for views on them which is great residual money.

I started out writing a few book reviews on here about books that I read and just loved! I wanted to share my experience with others. The author of "Shiver" is Maggie Stiefvater. I posted a link to my article on her facebook page and she actually responded! This got me really excited about writing more reviews.

Recently I was contacted by David Good's publicist. He won 'Bachelor Pad.' She asked if I would want to read his book and review it. This lead to some great opportunities and I got his book for free. This got me thinking about ways I could get other books for free.

On facebook, I liked the movie "Twilight." They posted on their wall about two upcoming books by new authors that they thought were great. I read over what these books were about and I wanted to read them both! I looked on Amazon and did not want to spend $25 on two books.

I searched for the websites of these two authors and sent them emails. I basically told them I am a freelance writer and I would love to read their book. I sent them a link to my Associated Content page to look at so they could see my writing. I did not ask for a free book. Both of them responded to me saying they were mailing me a copy of their book to read. Yesterday I posted about "Wither." The other book I received is "Clarity."

I just started "Wither" and it is amazing! I will post a link once I do my review for you to read. I say if you are interested in something go for it! The worst they can do is tell you no :-)

I also got a huge box of Zatarain's food to review from trying this exact same thing.

Too Busy Lately

I spent all of last weekend at my parents so now you know where I have been and why I was not blogging. I have just been too busy to get here lately. I really want to make time to blog every day though so help me get back into the swing of things.

I am always looking for ideas to blog about so anything you guys want to know feel free to ask me!

I recently emailed a publisher about a book I was interested in reading. They sent me a free copy to review. I am really excited that I got it free and now I get to read it! Hopefully I can do this once in awhile when I find a new book I am interested in trying out. This book is amazing so far. It is called "Wither."

New Writing Opportunity

Today I was approached about a new writing opportunity. Someone that I know has a new magazine that they are starting locally. They contacted me on Facebook to see if I would be interested in writing for them. This will be an ongoing job that I will do every month and eventually bi-monthly.

I am so excited about this new venture! I could not be more happy that she had the faith in my ability to come to me with this job. Life is good right now. It is a wonderful thing to love what you do!

More About Coupons

I have received a few questions about using coupons so I thought I would elaborate. I know some people spend hours a week on this and go all out. I still save money, but I don't do that at all. I have a coupon binder that I keep my stuff in and I update it about once a week. It is simply a binder and then the inserts inside it are baseball card protectors so that I have a lot of little pockets. I spent about $10 to make it. Here you can see what it looks like and how it is set up.

I don't spend very much time on my coupons. I follow The Krazy Coupon Lady on facebook. I found out about her on a show she did on TLC called Extreme Couponing. You can read the article about it here. She does a lot of the work for me. She posts about stores in her area and matches up the ads/coupons. I use the ideas that she posts if I have the same store and coupons. She has a book out that I want to buy, but have not yet.
If I go to a store and find out one of my coupons is amazing and they pay me to use it, then I check eBay for more of them. I don't pay a lot, but if it still saves me a ton of money spending $2 might be worth it. You can also use services that clip coupons and sell them, but I have not tried this yet.

I watch a lot of television so I sit and clip coupons while I watch TV. I am usually done for the week in less than an hour long show so it is not that time consuming. You can find the time to do it if it is something important to you.

My Fun with Coupons

Since I work from home, I also try to cook at home as much as possible. I am not great about this, but I am improving. I have started to become an Extreme Coupon person. I don't usually buy a ton of coupons from eBay or clipping sites, but I do get the weekly paper and my mom passes her coupons on to me as well. I wanted to share my coupon experience from today. I went to the local commissary where stuff is cheaper. I try to shop here most of the time, but it is a bit of a drive if I just need a couple of things. Here is what I picked up today.

I spent $2.00 on the Maalox coupons on eBay. They were for $5 off of a bottle. I got them for $3.99 which means they paid me to buy them. I had coupons for other items I bought as well. Two things on the shopping trip did not have coupons.

I got a grand total of $51.16 worth of groceries for only $6.56! It was $8.56 if you count what I spent on the coupons. Not a bad deal at all! I will be sharing the Maalox with family, but if they are going to pay me to buy something I want as many as I can get for myself. I love saving money!

Making Money as a Blogger

Do you realize that you can make money on your blog? Many people blog, but do not realize that it can be profitable as well. I am pretty new to blogging and I am just learning, but I want to share a few ways with you that you can earn money on your own blog.

Ad Placement
You can use a company such as Google Adsense or Chitika and allow them to place ads on your blog. When anyone clicks on these ads, you will make money. This is my main source of income from my blog, so if you ever see an ad that interests you feel free to click. You can choose from other companies as well, but these are the only ones that I use at this time. I love Google besides the fact that it has a $100 minimum payout so it might be Christmas before I see my money.

Affiliates

You can sign up with companies to earn money when someone purchases something from them. The only one I have set up so far is Amazon. If someone purchases a book or anything from their site through your link, you earn a percentage of the money. You can add links to your blog such as this one. This is one of my favorite CD's ever so I just used it as an example.

Blogging for Companies
Certain companies will pay you to write a blog for them about their product. I have done a couple of these and you can tell which ones they are because they mention that they are sponsored. Get a Free Belly Bag is the one I did recently. They are easy to do and pay pretty good. I use a company called Social Spark. You can also earn money for referring people to them so if you sign up please use the link since it is my referral. I know there are other companies out there, but I have not tried any yet so if you have experience with them please feel free to share.

How Associated Content Works

When you first start writing for Associated Content, it can be a bit overwhelming. You are allowed to pick assignments off the desk or write about anything that you want to and submit it yourself.

If I am writing about coloring pages, parenting, travel, or product reviews just to name a few, I submit them up upfront payment. You will get anywhere from $2 on up to $7 or more. Your upfront payments will increase as your clout increases and your page view average. I have seen mine going up lately.

You can also submit as display only. This is what I do on articles such as television reviews, music reviews, movies, and book reviews. They do not pay upfront on these. If a popular show such as "The Bachelor" is on, I can write a recap of it. I will get over 3,000 views in one day on it. You want this type of article to post right away plus they won't pay upfront on it anyway.

I have received upfront payment on a few articles that are music or movie related. One example is this article about Lady Antebellum. Another article that I received upfront payment on was Top 10 Quotes About Love from the Movies. These are considered evergreen which means people will still look at them months or years from now and not just this week or month.

I get paid to write a few TV articles on AC, but this is because I am part of the program with a beat desk. They contacted me about this on their own. To get these options and also articles targeted to you, the best way is to write about what you love. If they like your writing and have more in this area, they might contact you.

They are also changing their featured contributor program. I do not know much about how the new one will work, but will blog on it when it goes live.

Companies that I Freelance Write for from Home.

I started freelance writing in the summer of 2010. When I first started writing, I spent most of my time at textbroker. If you are level 4 here, you can make pretty good money. This site does not have as much work available now as they did when I first started writing. I still write here, but not as much as I did when I first started writing.

They always say to have a lot of eggs in your basket and I have done just that for myself. I was really nervous at first that I would lose eggs or something would fall through on me. Here is a list of all of the places that I write for at least one time a month so that I do not lose my privileges.

- Wordgigs - We have a love/hate relationship depending on what they have available.
- Break Studios - I love them, when I can find good titles. They pay $8 per article.
- Bright Hub - They pay $10 per article plus residuals, but it is not my favorite place to write with all of the rules.
- Factoidz - I really enjoy writing for them. You can read more about it here.
- List my Five - I am really still just playing around with this site. I have only made about $5 on there.
- Seed - This site is through AOL. They don't usually have a lot available, but when they do the pay is amazing. I have been paid $10 for a 50 word article and nope that is not a typo.

My two main eggs are Associated Content/Yahoo and Examiner. I have a love for both of these places. Associated Content pays me upfront for articles plus residuals. They even put them up on Yahoo when the article belongs there. They are always adding new things. I write 14 TV articles a month for here and I could not be happier. I get to use my imagination and write about what I want to write about with this site.

Examiner is where I feel like I am gambling. I never know if the article will do well or not until I put it up, but I have had amazing luck here so far. I will make more on this site alone this month then I used to make with every single place that I write online.

Feel free to ask me anything you want about any of these sites and I will reply or make a future blog post about it.
