Saving Money When Eating Out with Coupons

Money is tight for all of us lately. We can't help but still eat out sometimes. I have found a great way to save a bit if you plan to eat out at a nice restaurant. Go to the companies website and check for coupons. If they have any, print them out. If they don't show any coupons, sign up for their email list. Almost every single place will send you a coupon and they are usually for a free appetizer. You can get an appetizer for free or you can actually eat the appetizer as your meal.

We recently ate at Joe's Crab Shack. We knew it would cost a lot, but I was able to print out a coupon for a free appetizer so we saved about $8 on the meal. A few other places I have done this is Applebee's, Chili's, and Texas Road House. If you are making plans to eat out, check the website and see if you can save money on your trip.

Another great tip is to save the El Chico's coupons out of the paper. They come about once a month in the coupon inserts. You can use the buy one Enchilada dinner get one free to eat out for two adults for less than $10. Great deal!

  3. I think another great idea is text coupons. Many cities have a group of businesses that participate and or individual restaurants have these deals. Also, if you like a place on Facebook a lot offer incentives.

  5. I use coupons when we eat out, too. Another great resource is http://www.restaurant.com, they are always having a promotion on gift certificates (we call them coupons) and I can usually get a $50 meal for $20.

  7. We have an agreement at my house. I can only use a coupon to eat at a restaurant if I agree to leave my coupon binder in the car! LOL. I have no problem with that at all! ;)

  8. Great post! I really really need to get better at this. I usually have tons of coupons but I always forget them. Maybe I will start putting a coupon holder in my car and putting them in as soon as I get them.
