"Extreme Couponing" Interviews and Savings

The show "Extreme Couponing" has become very popular on TLC. With this show doing so well, I contacted The Krazy Coupon Lady on her website and asked for an interview. She was sweet enough to talk to me! Joanie Demer was awesome. I posted 2 interviews with her on Examiner and then another article explaining about a fraud case that is going on in the "Extreme Couponing" world right now. I wanted to share them with you.

I also wanted to share that since talking to Joanie I went to Walgreens today on a coupon shopping spree. I got 4 Marshmallow/Chocolate Peeps, 3 rolls of Scotch Tape, and 1 pouch of Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough for a total of 9 cents! It can be done!

  1. I'm a newly addicted Extreme Couponer. I haven't netted anything as good as you, but I will!

  2. You have the special touch for getting people to agree to interview with you. Have you ever thought about doing podcast or video interviews?

It's probably one of those things I "should" do, but I just can't get it together to really coupon.

  4. I did couponing for a while and I really enjoyed it. IT was an addiction and the high came from seeing my balance due drop rapidly.

But I spent WAY too much time finding the deals! Now I only do the ones that are easy. No matching three or four coupons and doing to five different stores...just a coupone (maybe two), a sale and what I want.

It is a great way to save money, like a part time job!

  5. I have heard SO much about this. Lol
I am with Terese. This is something I probably should do but I don't. :P

  6. Even without the extreme side of it, you can see a difference. DH and I have a casual approach and still manage to make a dent using our Sunday papers and the coupons that come from various cards.

  7. I started this whole couponing thing about 6 or 7 years ago. I am slowly getting back in to the swing of things. I just don't have a good Sunday paper around here that is really worth spending the money on. So, I stick to internet coupons when I find them. I save where I can. I watch the TLC show because I am pretty amazed at the time and effort some of these people put into their couponing. As for the fraud ordeal with Jamie, I have other things to worry about. If she used them and the store took them, its on them.

  8. I did want to say for those of you that don't want to spend so much on a Sunday paper I was able to get a discount by paying for it with automatic withdrawal which helped me. Thanks for all of the wonderful comments on my blog!
